"Comprised of 100% Merlot, the 2000 vintage is an intense, concentrated, artfully balanced wine. The color is a dark lush purple with aromas of smoky spice and dark fruit. The palate is round and mouth filling, encompassing flavors of rich, ripe black cherry fruit and complemented by subtle hints of the wine’s terroir. The tannins are fine and delineated, with the finish long and lingering." – Erin Green, Winemaker September 2002

Impressive dark ruby color. Superripe aromas of chocolate syrup, mocha, tobacco and smoke, with a meaty nuance. Fat, thick and rich, with roasted currant and truffle flavors. Extremely lush and full in the mouth, but could use a bit more clarity and refinement. Finishes quite long, with smooth tannins.
