"Impressive purple/black color with nose of cassis, licorice and cedar. Balanced and concentrated. Whole-cluster extended maceration and malolactic fermentation. Aged 22 months in French oak, bottled unfined and unfiltered. First 100% Turley vintage – from grapes to blending." – Helen Turley, Winemaker 1995

James Laube, Wine Spectator, May 1996
A ripe, rich, full-bodied Bordeaux-style red that shows its plush and complex side already, though still young. The tiers of cherry, currant, anise and spice finish with thick but polished tannins and a rich aftertaste. Impressive for its depth and concentration.
