The 2024 Jayson Chardonnay displays a compelling interplay of richness and freshness, with layered aromatics and a broad, expressive palate. The wine opens with aromas of golden apple and juicy pear, followed by layers of toasted brioche, orange blossom, and crème brûlée that emerge with a subtle citrus lift. The palate is expansive and textural, with a focused entry that builds to a full, mouth-coating mid-palate. Apple, pear, and lemon curd unfold seamlessly, supported by integrated oak with notes of vanilla, toast, and warm spice. Winemaking Notes
The 2024 Jayson Chardonnay is a blend of fruit from six distinctive Napa Valley sites. Our mountain and hillside vineyards, Antica Estate, Stagecoach, and Waters Ranch comprise the core of the wine, contributing structure, concentration, and tension. Carpenter adds generous orchard fruit character, while Hyde and Laguna Ranch lend freshness, vibrancy, and refined texture, rounding out the blend. Each lot was barrel fermented and aged for 10 months in French oak: 64% new François Frères barrels, with the remainder in one- to two-year-old Pahlmeyer Chardonnay barrels. Lees stirring was used selectively to build texture and mid-palate richness while preserving purity and freshness.
